Kehillah Hadashah

A Jewish congregation which is welcoming to people of all backgrounds. We believe that the barriers to Jewish life need to be lowered. We know that Hebrew can be a barrier, so we transliterate. We know your family may not be Jewish, and we look forward to creating a comfortable home for them, also.

Located in the inner-Eastside of Portland, Oregon, we reflect the diversity of that community. We are  a community which welcomes people of all genders, sexual orientations and identities.

We are multi-generational.

We  join together to find fulfillment in spiritual experience, whether through traditional Jewish modes or less traditional modes.

Led by Rabbi David Kominsky, we are a participatory group. Rabbi David has lived in Portland for many years, including four years at Reed College. He was ordained by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia.

If you’d like to be part of creating this community, or just want to see what we’re all about, contact us.
